Julie Dexter, a world renowned, award winning, British singer, songwriter and producer. Aptly honoured at the Black Women in Jazz Awards with the Afro Caribbean Soul of Jazz Award. Ms Dexter is a classically trained artist who has composed and arranged all her impressive material. An influential artist, Ms Dexter epitomises classic soul, shown in her collaboration with a league of cutting-edge artists. Such as Mint Condition, Jill Scott, Bilal, Omar, Rachelle Ferrell, Ledisi Anibade Young, Eric Roberson, Lalah Hathaway; Doug Carn, Third World and Maxi Priest. Ms Dexter has also toured several continents with Jazz legend Courtney Pine as the lead vocalist for his ensemble.


It is understandable why fans and critics have and continue to follow Ms Dexter’s commanding musical journey, through the circles of Jazz, Broken-Beat, Bossa-Nova, Reggae, Afro-Beat and Soul.
